Dr. Murtada Khidir holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of Khartoum and an MBA (Finance) from the UMST, a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Khartoum, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of Georgia, USA, and a Licensed by Sudan Council of Certified Accountants (SCCA).

He is a professor and lecturer at several Sudanese universities. He previously held various positions in Gulf banks and served as a consultant to several Sudanese banks. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Sudan CBOS. He possesses extensive financial and banking expertise, with over 20 years of experience in the banking sector.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Al Baraka Bank Sudan as a banking expert and he is a member of the Executive, Policy, and Governance and Compliance Committees.
