Dr. Khaled Ateeq is the Chairman of Al Baraka Bank (Sudan) and a Board member of Al Baraka Turk Participation Bank and Al Baraka Islamic Bank Bahrain. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the Family Microfinance House in Bahrain and as Executive Director of Banking Supervision at the Central Bank of Bahrain, where he oversaw the licensing, inspection, and supervision of financial institutions, ensuring compliance with CBB regulations for banks operating or incorporated in Bahrain. He has also held senior positions at various financial institutions, including Deputy CEO at Venture Capital Bank.

He serves as the Chairman of the Board the Executive and Policy Committee at Al Baraka Bank Sudan.

With over 40 years of experience in Banking, Finance, Auditing, and Accounting, Dr. Ateeq began his career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Bahrain. He holds a PhD in Accounting from Hull University, U.K.
